ROBINS FIELD / ELIZABETH FORD INITIATIVE

An inspired vision

Elizabeth Ford was a pioneer, breaking through the glass ceiling that has given women greater opportunities in health care. Appointed the first female Assistant Administrator/Vice President of North Mississippi Medical Center, she held that position for 35 years. Elizabeth’s loyalties always remained close to home, touching health care, education, faith, and community.

Honoring Elizabeth and her work

Tony was a full-time caregiver for Elizabeth, who suffered from dementia and Parkinson’s. “For a long time I thought about how to honor my mother and her work. Sitting in my home looking at Robin’s Field, it came to me. And I knew how I could further her legacy.”
